你去過鶯歌嗎？

上週末Riana和Stephanie還有AIESEC(國際經濟商管學生會)的朋友一起去了趟鶯歌，

除了去參觀鶯歌陶瓷博物館，也探訪了鶯歌老街，更嘗試做了手拉坯！

當然他們也買了鶯歌著名的阿婆壽司

來看看Riana他們在鶯歌發生了哪些有趣的事，這個週末你也可以安排個鶯歌之旅喔！

After taking the train to鶯歌, we walked to the Ceramics Museum (陶瓷博物館) and bought our tour tickets. It was fun to play around with all of these people! Stephanie and I don't see them very often because we have work and they study very hard. We had half an hour to explore the museum before the tour started, so I spent this time talking! Some people went into the gift shop to look at all the things they could buy!

Our tour guide told us many interesting facts about how people used to make pottery long ago using different special techniques. For example, an aboriginal tribe used to make clay pots with a very small hole at the top for catching fish. The hole was big enough for the fish to get inside of the clay pot, but not big enough for the fish to get out!

We were even able to walk inside a real-sized kiln (窯), which I thought was pretty cool!

Next we went to eat some lunch at a famous sushi (壽司) bar. I asked the tour leader why this restaurant was famous for sushi, and she replied “Oh, we saw the advertisement (廣告) for this sushi bar on the back of the 鶯歌 map!” The sushi was very delicious and cheap, so I can see why it was popular! We ate miso soup and boiled eggs too, so we felt pretty full and happy after our lunch.

The next activity was to visit Old Street , where we saw many wonderful ceramics, 小吃, and performers. One man was making 蠟小雕像from children's hands. The children were very cute!

Then Stephanie and I decided to get our hands dirty, and make some ceramics of our own! The store owner showed us how to shape the clay into a plate, a bowl or a vase! The clay felt very smooth and soft, and a little bit warm from being shaped into different shapes! Watching the clay change its shape was very relaxing. In the end I decided I wanted to make a vase so that I can put flowers into it, and Stephanie made a beautiful plate.

After we had shaped the clay into Stephanie's plate or my vase, it was time to decorate them! Stephanie wanted to leave her plate as it was, lovely and simple. I wanted to write鶯歌 and the date on my vase, and I asked my friend Jennifer to write鶯歌 because I'd forgotten how! I also made little flowers to stick onto the vase with my colleague's help.

Some of the AIESECers were very creative with their pottery too!

After such a long day, we were all ready to go home! Lucky for us, we arrived at the鶯歌 Train station just in time, because it started raining! So as it rained we returned back to Taipei , and to our homes J
