ETS Criterion線上英文寫作班的線上老師到底是誰?
是誰躲在Criterion裡幫我改一篇篇的作文?
是誰給我寫作上的個別指導?
......是Meagan!
Now you see me, now you don't! Ni hao你好, ni hao你好!
My name is Meagan and I'm the Criterion Virtual Teacher.
While I'm busy with teaching small kids during the day and correcting essays at night, I always find time to take on new adventures.
I wasn't always the Virtual Teacher, and in fact, hadn't even considered it until I met Stephanie.
We were both members of the Canadian-Taiwanese Dragon Boat Team last year. Through a casual discussion about changing jobs, I ended up coming down to her office for an interview. Next thing you know, one year later, I'm still the Virtual Teacher! It's been great!
I've decided to continue with Dragon boat racing again this year and am slowly getting back into the habit of juggling early morning practices with a full day of work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get down to only 5 cups of coffee on these days by next week... hahaha. just kidding! (I only drink 3 on practice days. YIKES!)
The past two years has been a slew of adventures for me. Last summer I did a 30 km kayak to Turtle Island. It was absolutely stunning, and needless to say, exhausting! I also partook in the Canadian Society's Taipei 101 Climbathon, ventured to Sun Moon Lake and in September of last year, did a tour with my father and sister down the West coast of Taiwan. Halfway through the trip, we decided to scrap the West coast and head East by driving through Yushan. With hairpin turns and roads that were no more than mud, it was quite the ride to say the least.
During my time here, I've caught the travel bug and try to make the most of my vacation time. So far, I've been to South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines and all over Taiwan. With the warm weather quickly approaching, I'm getting anxious for camping at the beach and scooter trips around the island.
