OH! Grammar! 不要跟我說文法

實在討厭學文法嗎?今天Ian要讓大家輕鬆一下,不談文法,我們來學學幾個英文繞口令,可以順便練習一下自己的英文發音技巧

We have a saying in English, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

The meaning is that sometimes you should have fun and not worry about

working, or else you'll become boring.

So today I am going to skip the grammar for a week and give everyone some

tongue twisters. These are more fun than grammar and you can use them to

practice your pronunciation.

A tongue twister is a phrase or group of sentences that are hard to say.

Try saying these 5 times as fast as you can.

Unique New York

Mrs. Smith's Fish Sauce Shop.

Greek grapes.

For these tongue twisters, just try to say them.

1.      She sells sea shells down by the sea shore.

2.      Who slit the sheets? Whoever slit the sheets is a good sheet slitter.

3.      How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

4.      Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

Sometimes, when you try to say a tongue twister very quickly, it will sound like you're saying something completely different!

Try this one:

One smart fellow, he felt smart.

Two smart fellows, they felt smart.

Three smart fellows, they all felt smart. (SO FUNNY)

If you said these three sentences, maybe you started saying:

One smart fellow, he felt smart.

Two smart fellows, they smelt fart.

Three smart fellows, they all smelt fart.

These can be fun. Have a competition and see who can say the tongue

twisters the fastest!

你也可以提供中文繞口令給我們的線上老師喔!

Also, if you have any Chinese tongue twisters, please post them on the

site. I'm really interested to see what a Chinese tongue twister is like.

Hope this…. is fun.
